Hello Neighbors!
We are pleased to provide an update on Stormwater Facility #40 ("Lower Park"). Work was done in the Spring/Summer to build on what was accomplished in 2020 and meet all functional requirements ahead of the 2021-2022 rainy season. This included removal of all tree stumps, grading of the retention pond walls, clearing and inspection of all pipes, and seeding of grasses along the pond and hillside slopes to present an attractive appearance and prevent soil erosion. Kings Stormwater Solutions, who was our contractor for this project, did excellent work and even built a complementary bench for use by hikers along the Lower Park trail. Note that before this project commenced the entire facility was covered in a very dense stand of 20'+ tall trees!
Work on the Facility #41 begins in 2022, but we couldn't wait to let you know of the progress made so far, which hopefully has enhanced the visual appeal of Lacamas View and certainly has improved the functioning of key infrastructure.
